The School District of Oconee County believes technology is a critical component of education and provides innovative technology resources for all students and staff.

These include:

  • A state of the art fiber network with 3Gbps internet access and 40 Gbps intranet (between sites) with 21 distinct locations
  • Individual technology devices for all students (a 1:1 initiative)
  • Hundreds of instructional software and programs
  • G Suite for Education (email, unlimited file storage, etc.)

Our team consists of a diverse group of school-based technicians, network and infrastructure specialists, database administrators, a group of SDOC student interns, and other technology professionals all working toward enhancing your child's education. Parent/Student FAQ

  • The School District of Oconee County utilizes Classlink as its main portal for all instructional resources.

  • The School District of Oconee County complies with all federal and state regulations in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy and Protection Act, (COPPA) the Children's Internet Privacy Act, (CIPA) and other federal and state requirements in regards to student data privacy and safety.

    All SDOC Chromebooks utilize a web filter both within our school buildings as well as offsite (home, coffee shop, etc.) to ensure inappropriate content is blocked. Our web filter utilizes Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) to intelligently block websites that are deemed inappropriate. However, web filters cannot block all harmful content, and we encourage you to regularly monitor your child on any device.

  • Yes. All School District of Oconee County students are automatically provisioned a Google account that includes email access. Their email follows the format: username@sdoc.org where the student's username is randomly generated and always begins with their graduation year.

    SDOC students cannot send/receive emails to students outside of their school level (elementary, middle, high) and cannot send/receive emails to Internet email addresses except for whitelisted, academic resources.

Employee FAQ

  • For all routine requests such as software installation, door access, general troubleshooting, or other questions not impacting instruction, please submit a ticket through the SDOC help ticket system.

    The School District of Oconee County staffs a helpdesk during all normal operating hours to serve our staff members and students.

    Our operating hours follow the SDOC District Office schedule, and we are closed when the school district office is closed.
    If you are a vendor, or not otherwise affiliated with the School District of Oconee County, please do not contact us through this helpdesk. Please contact our staff through their posted information in the Staff Directory.

  • Once your new hire paperwork has been received from Human Resources, your account is automatically provisioned and you receive an email with information on how to access your SDOC account. This is sent to the personal email address you submitted to Human Resources.

  • The SDOC Technology department is located within the SDOC District Office, located in Walhalla, across from the Oconee County Tax Office, at:

  • You can reset your SDOC account password 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, at the SDOC Password Portal. Click the link below to access the SDOC Password Portal.

  • To access your paystub, W-2 documents, and other tax information, please login to the SDOC Payroll Portal with your SDOC account information.

  • Employees terminating employment within the school year lose access to all SDOC accounts, with the exception of the Payroll & Password Portals, on their last day of employment. Please review the Employees Leaving the District guide below.

  • SDOC employees can join SDOC-Secure from any device and enter their SDOC username and password to gain access. Keep in mind, by entering your SDOC account credentials to connect a device, you are responsible for all content accessed on that device. Never enter your SDOC account credentials for a student.

    Guests and visitors in our buildings can use the daily changing Wi-Fi guest code. All building administrators, receptionists, and media specialists, have access to this code.
